Full-Time Police Officer
The Winooski Police Department is currently accepting applications for full time Police Officer. We are a progressive, community oriented, 24 hour police department, serving a diverse population of over 7,500 citizens in the heart of Chittenden County. WPD provide a wide range of police services for its residents and is a highly motivated, professional organization that embraces the Community Oriented Policing philosophy. Applicants must have a high school diploma, able to pass the Vermont Police Academy entrance examination, physical fitness requirements, psychological profile exam, polygraph and background check. Entrance requirements are available for review at http://vcjtc.vermont.gov/training/entrance_testing
This is an Fraternal Order of Police Union position with a starting annual wage of $44,498 and up based on experience. After the training period is complete the employee enters a step system per Union contract.
